The Storm is an event that happens inside Hueco Mundo. The sole enemy(s) that spawn during the Storm are special Storm Vastocars (or Vastolorde Arrancars), which spawn randomly around the map. There are 5 waves, with each wave increasing the amount of Vastocars that spawn.
They are important for harvesting "points" towards various progression points, especially for Hollows, since they contribute a massive 100 Kill Points per kill if the player manages to deal at least 60% of the damage towards them. Otherwise, if the player doesn't have their second mode, they provide 10 "Points" if the player's level is 85+:
- For Soul Reapers, these points go to Bankai progression.
- For Arrancars who unlocked their Resurrección, these points go to the fight with Hueco Oscuras.
- For Quincies, these points go to Voltstanding progression.
There is a chance to get 1-6 Time Relics per each Storm Vastocar killed, as well as a 1 in 420 chance (increasing with each wave) to get the Hollow Hunter Cloak.
While The Storm is active, Vastocars will have their spawn position (not their current position) indicated by orange 'dots' when using your Soul Wayfinder, which act as beacons. They can spawn anywhere from a few meters from The Alley to the other end of Hueco Mundo.
It is speculated that the spawn rate of Red-eyes Hollow and Adjuchas is increased when The Storm is in a server.
